TEACHING & MENTORING

IN THE CLASSROOM

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses that cover a range of topic areas. When designing and teaching a course, I strive to foster an intellectually challenging, engaging, and respectful environment. I embrace the Teacher-Scholar model of integrating research and education, where my research interests and course offerings have reciprocally influence one another. Some of my recent courses include: Neuroscience of Sleep; Neuroethics; Aging & Memory; Cognitive Psychology. I am honored to have received Villanova's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences' Tolle Lege Award for Teaching Excellence in 2022.

IN THE LAB

Numerous talented graduate and undergraduate students contributed to my research program—their fresh perspectives, creative ideas, and dedication make it all happen. The opportunity to mentor and collaborate with these students has been tremendously rewarding, and I am humbled to have received the Women in Cognitive Science Mentorship Award in 2016.
